The Daily Boost

Simplify your life!

Simplify your life!

Would you trade just a few seconds a day to Simplify your life? These few seconds might just save you years of trouble the rest of your life.

They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again … and expecting a different outcome.

So, our current “same thing over and over again” for our mouth hasn’t changed much for many decades. In the late 1920’s Pepsodent had a marketing campaign that we should visit our dentists twice a year and brush twice a day. Hmmm, hasn’t changed much since. Floss was invented to help get food out between teeth. A New Orleans dentist, Levi Spear Parmly, is credited with having his patients use a thin waxed silk thread between teeth in 1815. Hmmm, hasn’t changed much since. At the time we assumed what happens in the mouth stays in the mouth.

But now let’s fast forward. There’s an explosion of research showing how much the mouth impacts our overall health. This is caused by the Bad Bacteria of the mouth, especially Pg, that drive inflammation throughout our body. Pg releases toxins into the bloodstream. 60% of us have Pg in our mouth, even more will as we age. Just think about it… that inflammation is the root cause of many neurodegenerative and vascular diseases affecting hundreds of millions of people.

“The impact that the Bad Bacteria in the mouth have on Cancer, Cardiovascular diseases, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, and Other Systemic Diseases pose a significant public health crisis.” Murray, P.E.; Coffman, J.A.; Garcia-Godoy, F. Oral Pathogens’ Substantial Burden on Cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, and Other Systemic Diseases: A Public Health Crisis—A Comprehensive Review. Pathogens2024, 13, 1084. https://doi.org/10.3390/pathogens13121084

So, looks like it’s time to stop “just doing the same thing over and over again”.

Dental cleanings are important but research shows Pg returns just 7 days after a cleaning. That’s why our mouth feels refreshed the week after a dental cleaning. Flossing and brushing won’t eliminate Pg. In fact, flossing doesn’t reduce Pg.

And the Pharma pipeline is extremely weak with little to no shots on goal for the next 4-5 years. I know, I was part of it.

But there is hope…

Imagine your health being influenced by something as simple as your daily brushing habits. By choosing to prioritize oral health with next generation oral care products, you are more likely to prevent and manage our most deadly diseases.

We all want convenience, simplicity, in our daily routines. I get it. Life is busy, often getting in the way of our fun. With that in mind, I’ve developed simple, easy to use, ways to boost your daily routine. It only takes seconds to dip your brush … but those few seconds might just save you years of trouble.

I’ve spent the last 17+ years researching the mouth’s impact on diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease and it’s become obvious that what we do between checkups makes the difference.
